Not really. Someone I know had the shimnao mt7 and said they're good, but own brand rubber sole wont be as good as vibrim.
Maybe order a few pairs and see how they fit/are.
I saw this the other day, you can see a theme. Vibram soles win out.
I like boa for simplicity and function. Laces are not good off road. Velcro ok.

The specilized ones looks good sole, but why put laces, just makes faff. I'd replace the laces with elastic cord and tie it off and just use boa. Would be tight enough.Those pearl izumi look good I'd get a pair to try, and see how they fit you. Make the fizik look stupid expensive.

I have all 3 models. For hab the lace up ones dont support the ankle. The middle ones, 'clima' are good but not perfect. Ans the event ones are waterproof. I'd prefer no velcro and just a boa on the clima. But the sole is perfect. Ive walked for hours and hours in then, all day. So yeah I'd recommend, but I didnt pay for them. There are other good shoes out there, possibly cheaper.
