8mm pclip on velo vitality rack is what I've got at the moment. Might remove the bracket and attach directly to the p clip though. Right now there's an opportunity for it to rattle into my wheel...

Mmm ok I've done something wrong or this light is suss. It turns on when I spin the wheel but basically just flickers. Even when outside pedalling all I get is a strobe effect. Also it turns off instantly as soon as I stop.
It was an eBay special so I may well have picked a dud. I wired it ground on the lamp to ground on the hub, I assume that's correct though I also don't see how you can wire an AC light wrongly.
Any ideas? Lumotec IQ fly light and a Shimano Nexus hub.

"42 V DC"
Another E-Bike light.

I fucking knew this would happen.
eBay seller said in his description "6V 2.4watt" so maybe grounds there.

The general obsession with front racks and the general obsession with dyno lights are two obsessions that belong on different bikes.
Lowriders, people!

Nip in and see your LBS, they'll have loads they always come with caliper rim brakes to try and keep them centred

My new bike will have all three, just you wait

Interestingly, this light says 42v DC on the side, and is as far as I can tell a dc ebike light. But on the front light cover it says 6V 2.4w.
Will have to see what the ebay gods serve up...

Does anyone have a good source for dynamo cabling? Looking to route a rear light cable via the Di2 ports and need some longer stuff than I currently have.

Or just use speaker wire.

Or scavenge wire from old electrical adapters, ac/dc transformers often have sufficient length of side by side stranded cable flex.

The Knipex crimping tool is very nice, I used to borrow one from my wife's old workplace but it's hard to justify the cost or something you're likely to use very infrequently. Her new work has an unbranded ratchet crimping tool which you could pick up for about £7-8 and does this job just fine.
The crimping tools make a very nice job of fixing brake/gear cable end caps too.

I got this CK wire stripper / crimper which works pretty well

https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/lighting-hub-dynamo-front/?order=price+ascending&brand=busch%5F%5Fmuller&price=17%2D30of the 5 lights here, the "Busch & Muller Lumotec Lyt T Senso" seems like the best buy, no? I think it's the brightest one with a stand light? (why do they even make lights without a stand light?)
-
• #3298
I believe only the Plus models have a stand light.
-
• #3299
hmm well sjs say it does have a stand light so...idk...
These product lines are so obtuse.

For dropout jointing a rear light, driveside dropout or does it not really matter? There’s more options on the non driveside for me to choose from.
Which of these do I need for attaching an IQ X onto my stem?
