Trek 69er singlespeed MTB - XL

  • Ok, so this was sold to me as a Large - but it's an XL, so my plan to make it fit has fallen down at the first hurdle!

To be honest, I'm gutted as I always wanted one of these and they are as rare as hen's teeth!

But never mind, it needs to go and I'll look out for another!

I paid a bit less but I've put some time/effort/investment into it being just right, so it wants for absolutely nothing - ready to roll straight out of the door (I will inc the cheap plastic pedals just to get you going).

    Spec as follows:

XL Trek 69er in the sought after Rootbeer finish - few small scratches and marks, as you'd expect on a 12 year old frame - but overall very good for it's age
(55cm from centre BB to top of seat-tube, and 63cm-ish top tube c to c)
    Exotic Carbon forks
    FSA headset - perfect condition
29er front wheel - WTB rim and hub
26er rear wheel - original Bonrager spec
    XT cranks
    New Hope chainring
    New chain
    New XT BB
    Recent Deore hydraulic brakes
    Cannondale Stem
    One One Geoff bars
    Jeff Jones extra long grips
    Zipp end plugs (!)
    Syncros seatpost
    Bontrager saddle

(I can throw in a longer stem and the original flat bars, if you'd prefer them)

It rides beautifully and, as I said, wants for nothing - other than a taller (6 ft plus) rider!

    £450 plus postage from Cheshire

  • I honestly thought this would get snapped up!

Would a price drop to £400 plus postage help move it along?

  • I remember there was a lot of hype around these at the time. Or maybe I just paid attention as it’s a weird concept.

You should try Single Track World if it doesn’t move on here.

    GLWS

  • @horsee1 - thanks for that

Now removed from here and moved elsewhere 👍

  • OK, so this is over on eBay at £395 -

It's not shifted and my £1 sellers fees listing is due to end in a few days so......

How about £325 plus postage for anyone on here - I know I'm breaking the rules a bit but there's a big price benefit for anyone here who's interested 👍

  • Looks great. How tall are you that it's too big?

  • I'm just under 5'10' - I'm normally a M sized frame but can get away with an L - this is just a bit too big to make it fit and needs a 6' plus rider -

My sons are 6'1" and 6'2" (mums genes not mine!) and both are comfortable fit on it (but both think singlespeed is a crazy thing!)

  • Now sold, thanks all!
