• I ordered the Helm, what sold it was the adjustability (which of course I may never use) which means that I could run it at 130mm with Hans Dampf/Rocket Ron wheels, or 150mm with DHF II's, or indeed at 160mm with a 27.5 rear wheel for full on Harley impersonation duties.

    Also, the RC529 is in stock right now, whereas the Santa Cruz would be February.

    Now, I still need a hardtail for the Mrs. 27.5 wheels, 120ish fork - suggestions for something I could actually order and receive this side of November?

    I've looked at this option in depth, issue is that it's a really expensive route to take, which is fine if you know you love MTB, but if what you want is a bike that is "good enough" to try it out, and sell if you hate it, it's not.

    Buying an OTP is, I think, the route forward. But what?
