No way, V brakes are excellent until they get muddy

Can confirm that v-brakes work fine in the wet. I’m not trying to get any Strava records when it’s pissing down.

Sometimes I think it's best to stay rim brake with functionals to decrease the stealability.
It does mean they don't work in the wet, sadly, but that means you can save money by not adding mudguards.
