Would that be the Pace that takes 130-150mm forks...

So this Helm looks (if I am reading the blurb correctly) like it can run anywhere between 100mm and 170mm?
-
• #18330
So not a 120mm Pike then ;-)
-
• #18331
I bought mine set at 100mm, and these are the travel spacers I found inside
I removed 2 of them and it's now a 120mm fork

But if its the same one as in the link, it could provide you with a further 50mm if you wanted it to?
If so it does seem very Swiss Army knife, which is appealing.

I think it's up to 160mm on the 29er version and 170mm on the 27.5
I'm on 120mm and have 4 remaining travel spacers

I haven't attempted to stab anybody with it
yet

You know you could just get a 120mm air spring piston for your Lyric? They're not difficult to change.
-
• #18336
Why would I take the Lyrik off the RC295 though?
-
• #18337
Swapping parts = annoying
New bike = awesome

Right, I think I'm convinced on the Helm, now please cast your votes:
- Chameleon
- RC529
The frames are the same price.

I think Phil should decide

RC529. Matchy matchy and all that.

I could run the Pace as a 130mm 29er, or a 160mm mullet bike, for maxi-LOL’s.
I suspect I would never take advantage of the mullet capabilities, but saying that a 2.8” rear tyre on a hardtail does make some sense.

Alloy or carbon?

Alloy

Recovering from the shock, still staggering about. In that case, RC529.
-
• #18346
I dont think a 120mm air spring officially exists for the Lyriks.
A 120mm air spring for a Yari might work though.
-
• #18347
There is cross compatibility across Rockshox' 35mm platform so you could go with the Debonair 2 suitable for a Pike.
-
• #18348
Talking RockShox and cross compatible ... I'm looking into remote lockout retrofit kits for Judy gold, but can only find kits for 30 & recon. Is that all the same stuff?
-
• #18349
You want to be looking for one that matches the damper I think. Their parts lists are very thorough.
-
• #18350
So 30 gold and Judy gold are the same motion control damper?
Pace please.
