This xjs is all kinds or wrong but actually quite cool... To me it's like a real life pixar cars character. Just needs eyes in the windscreen.

Thanks all!
Haha as much as i love Dammits car adventures i would never be able to afford it and i doubt i would do it even if i could. This car was bought "cheap" with the work it needed in mind. I think, tho time will tell, that it may be a car that is not all that crazy exensive to maintain and with a bit of luck the valuation of these will rise about the same as the cost of maintaining it. This is ofc far from something that i could bank on but its my reasoning behind giving it a shot. Well that and that i desperately wanted one for a couple of years and then suddenly one pops up for sale within 2 kms from where i live (theres only about 20 registered in sweden). It just felt like this was my do or die moment .) I had even considered going to greece and driving one up here when i saw the ad for this one.
Im exited for the pick up this time as i think it will now feel like its suppose to for the first time since ive owned it.
Ill get some new photos when i have picked it up.

Theres something about that Jag that is very wrong and at the same time very cool. Looks bit like a transam in the rear photo.

Who on here had the BMW with the water damaged ECU? Every system on my 130i is triggering a warning today after being unused out in the rain all day yesterday. Just wondering how that problem manifested itself. I got into the ECU box and can’t see any sign of water ingress but I’m not sure. I cleared the leaves from the drain while I was there.

Theres something about that Jag
I hope the owner insists on calling it the "Jag-wah" in true US style

Looks like an xf grill.
More details of the jag here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/xjs-bumper-delete-64390/

Hang on that sounds terribly British to me.
Shirley Yank is more 'Jaaaguwaaayre'.

I've tried to block that from my memory hahaha

Ah soz. So what were the symptoms? I’ve got a feeling mine may have succumbed to the same fate, except that it might mean me scrapping the car. I’ve got warnings for parking sensors, airbag, cruise control (this car doesn’t have cruise control) traction control, abs and the big red stop the car now thing. Oh and the clocks keep dipping down to zero then back again.

Mine didn't really show any initial warning signs actually, it went from running perfectly, to flashing the engine light, to losing engine power within minutes, on the motorway. When the well known specialist replaced the ecu first time, it got water damaged again, and that time resulted in oil sensor light staying on.
I'm not an expert but if you're getting all of the warning lights then chances are it is the ecu, as I guess you wouldn't expect everything to fail at once.
Just choose your repair mechanic carefully ha ha ha

@Fixedwheelnut is a BMW mech. Perhaps he might know what the fault could be?

So, I’ve just bought a T4 camper(fuck yeah), I fully intend to keep the tape deck. I’ve used the radio Bluetooth tuners before and although they work it’s a bit shit..
Anyone got any experience with the tape type Bluetooth jobbies?

I've not owned one, but they work pretty well from what I understand, since they're basically two sides of a transformer with the tape head so it's almost as good as a line in. You don't get hiss or distortion because those are artefacts of the actual tape.

Thanks .. love that look

These sorts of things?
I've got one (not that exact one, but looks the same functionally) and never had any issues with it (it's quite nice to have the back/forward/answer call buttons too). Though I do occasionally get some football commentary when passing coaches. Hope they enjoy the few seconds of Hall & Oates...

Congrats on the t4. What engine did you get?
Love this car. Well worth the @Dammit level of servicing.
