@hoops I hope MVDP stays at AF as long as possible, he makes for a great twist in the plot each mtb and cx season when he appears and it’s impossible to gauge his form! I’m gutted Tom Pidcock is off to Ineos. Can’t believe that he will get any leeway to ride mtb but I could be wrong, maybe they’ll go all EF alternative calendar while their GT teams are useless!
It’s worth remembering, these lads like riding mtb. Pidcock and MVDP both choose to ride downhill and bike park on days off. Pidcock regularly, like more than once a week, spends a long ride on his mtb and includes lots of the real technical stuff in his local woods having a blast. It’d be a shame if he has to give that up, if only because my spaniel likes trying to race him in the woods- he finds me boringly slow
