  • That's for that! :)

No worries, don’t tell anyone else.

I’d pass on that Buler for a few reasons - basically it’s a bitsa. Take an old ‘branded’ movement, stick it in any old case with a big spacer, reprint a dial and sell on eBay. Quite a few come out of India and Italy - fake Enicar, Oris, Seiko (yep fake Seiko) etc. It won’t take long looking on eBay before these start to stick out. One of first giveaways is the ‘Swiss Made’ printing and the seconds markers.

Anyway, let’s get back to fishing. Try to focus on at least 17 jewel movements. Manual winds usually fair better with the decades.
Next is to aim for full stainless cases, not just the caseback - chrome will start to look tatty and often if genuinely 50+ years old will start to look tired. Solid Gold>Gold Filled>Rolled Gold>Gold Plated.
If the seller doesn’t mention the size it’s probably tiny.
Original bracelets are always a bonus, a lot of the guys on that thread buy stuff just for the straps/buckles/endlinks etc. An original nice tropic strap is worth £50 alone. I have an alert for ‘vintage watch box’ which throws up some interesting auctions where the watch is listed with its original packaging- sign of careful owner.
If you want a second opinion feel free to PM or post stuff, plenty of knowledge on here.
