Yeah I want a set but wife is unconvinced. Eames DSW is a played out option imo due to the flood of knock offs. Would totally consider a mini size one for the nursery (list item) tho.
@Tenderloin has a list that hits closer to home for me, so I’m pleased I’m still something of a cliche. -

All interior design is a cliche if you think of it in this way. Doesn’t matter whether you “curate” yourself or use people like Yabu Pushelberg or Tony Chi. You are creating a certain look that you want to (re)-create and by default it’ll end up being a cliche for someone or other. Stop caring what other people think and buy what you like and get inspired by others. Surely there’s nothing wrong with that?

Not at all, but obviously arbitrary value judgements accompany whichever box you end up in enabling entertaining internet debate. Cf my earlier Hague blue comment, the LLL thread or the laminate chat in the home/diy thread. Fully aware my house is a cliche box ticker’s delight, just nobody’s put a list with oak/valchromat joinery, microcement and shades of grey everywhere up yet (plus those mandarin stone jade onyx tiles).

Yeah those tiles are lush

Going real stone next time. Same price but better quality. They’re a good quality print but cutting them clean was apparently a nightmare, and as they’re printed we got a few repeats which I didn’t notice until they were on the wall. 4/10, unacceptable.
They look good though, contrast my brass bathroom fittings nicely.

I don't recognise most of the things on the lists so they provoke no emotional response.
(I'm an architect but probably not a very good one) -

Oak/valchromat is that the utility cupboard you posted?

How does this sort of stuff get signed off?
I guess maybe less of London is G2 listed than I imagine.
(not that I don't think it looks nice tho)

Why the change in direction of cladding though? Look at the state of the door ironmongery. People need to be held accountable. No amount of Aesop soap can clean that one away
-
• #3041
Amazing the neighbours didn’t object to that.
-
• #3042
yeah that’s getting fixed, annoying - was scratched by supplier before the finish had cured.
re cladding... uh, don’t know don’t care? was seriously over the whole process by that point. don't think I'd ever do it all again tbh, or recommend it to others... not worth the hassle lads.

nah, these guys. But basically everything in this house is some combo of grey, white, oak, bit o brass.

• #3044
I’m being glib. It looks good and I am sure you are enjoying the larger/re-jigged space. Get some craspedia in a thin necked jar and you are done

I'm going to need a toaster ID please.

@cozey wouldn't mind some builder details if you'd recommend yours? I'm outside Glasgow so they might not want the job but worth a chat eitherway.

I think what we need to see is one of those conveyor belt toasters in a home kitchen
What colour of exposed brick do I want for my side return?
