Mellow corn
Can't comment. Bourbon/Tennesee whiskey are min 51% corn in the mash, Rye is min 51% rye in the mash.
80% corn seems like a high sugar -> high alcohol method. Can't say I've ever had any Mellow Corn to the best of my knowledge.
'shine will have no maturation, so any maturation could only improve the flavour. I've never had moonshine but I've sampled raw spirit in Scotland and it's very unpleasant.

Mellow Corn is really good. It’s an easy sipper & found that I got through a bottle really quickly earlier in the summer. Liked it so much that I replaced it straight away and bought a fancy Balcones corn whiskey as well as I assumed maybe I like the style. More impressed with the ~£30 Mellow Corn to be honest

It sounds intriguing. I've drunk shine. It's not going to be like that is it?
