  • As a general rule cutout numerals look good imo.

Not a massive fan of Roman numerals, but when used I think they look better in a longer, more elegant form than a chunky BOLD. Also they're a bit more in tune on a classic looking watch with a leather strap.

  • Now gone

Long shot but anybody interested in this for £300 posted?

I bought it last year for £340 I think and put the jazzy matching moody erica on it.

No box/papers but great condition for the age.

I love it but my international travel is zero now and three GMT watches is overkill.

  • The stars though.

  • Will someone please sell me a watch I can use every day whilst riding, fecking about with bikes and generally going about business in the shed etc. I've got stylish watches for those rare occasions when I need to be stylish but I want hard wearing, maybe chunky...

    Ta.

    Mel.

  • Datejusts are still poplar r0ight?

  • G shock dw5600 or similar.... It'll become your favourite watch tho...

  • Nah, they’re well out of fashion nowadays.
It’s more the nasty blue face and the Roman numerals that spoil it, not a fan of the day indicator either, or the strap really

  • Popped up on my feed. They getting greedy.

    Are Comex still around? 🤢

  • Isn't it a bit weird making a 'fake' Comex?

  • Yes

  • Look 2 posts above yours. I wore a Tag Formula 1 all day every day for over a decade, it's been bashed about, scraped across the ground when I fell off my bike (multiple times), chewed on by my pet rats (deceased), swam in the sea with, gone rock climbing and generally had a tough time. It's got the marks to show for it but there's 1 tiny scratch on the glass and it keeps perfect time cos it's quartz. I've changed the battery twice in that time, the latest being a few days ago.

  • Said b4. 99% will just be impressed doe.

  • I bought a casio W-59B for this purpose was under £15

  • ^ I was going to suggest the same thing.

The standard Casio bombers are tough asides from the strap.

  • Isn't it a bit weird making a 'fake' Comex?

    Yeah - it's odd.

  • You can dance around for a long time with this line of thinking with homages/replicas etc. As a watch afficionado a not so subtle nod to the comex sub makes sense to me. It's just for fun ain't it.

  • Me lud. 😎

  • Looks like a great solution. I've had cheaper but they don't last. Maybe it's me!

  • Can someone explain to me what the appeal of these measurement watches is like vivosmart / fitbit / etc.? Is it just blokes being gadget nerds?

I need to measure my HR when doing zoned training. Probably don't need to explain why on a cycling forum. Would be easier than chest strap, and can include GPS data without my phone.

  • fuck. cannot unsee

  • Those two blue-faced ones on the last page are awful. How about this, for £60?

Anyone knows why you might want the name of a French dive outfit on your watch will also know that it shouldn't be on a Seiko.

  • The 40mm doesn’t have it I believe.

  • I've bought a milsub wannabe from this guy, to arrive in a couple of weeks. Fuck the provenance or whatever - I'm not buying it for the logos - I had to google Comex to even know what it was. I just like the way it looks and don't feel like it's hurting anybody. Hater's gonna hate though. Looking forward to it arriving.
