He’s never really delivered as a GC rider though. Think he’s got one fringes of the top ten finish in the Tour.
Is the giro a bit shorter this year? If so that might help
You’re totally right but he was hotly tipped two years ago at the tour and then crashed on the first stage so we haven’t seen him have a good go. Since his best tour finish he has really developed and got great results in one day events.
