The more expensive option is in my experience a bit better in the wet. The non basalt is fine though.
The options currently are basalt or graphene grooves (or something).
Basalt is good. I’ve not tried the grooved rims. It looks like they’d just eat pads.
In the dry the grooves don't seem to eat pads..I don't generally ride them in the wet but yeah, I imagine they eat pads.
