I'd ride the shit out of that, so much wrong with it, but would still ride.

My thoughts exactly! Classic case of so wrong its right

THM cranks with belt drive, and a cable disc brake front and below bottom bracket rear rim brake...
-
• #7955
Is the cog outboard of the frame?
Edit: Yes it is, solves the belt drive issue I suppose https://road.cc/content/tech-news/211246-rob-english%E2%80%99s-head-turning-single-sided-project-right-bikes

The stems on those English bikes reminds me of this sort of thing. Otherwise I'm sort of into the baby pink one...

His TT bikes are rad.

(except the saddle, which looks like an elephant has sat on it)

They’re shit. Total show bike. Designed to look good only with the extensions running in line with the top tube which nobody does.
Those pink frames are really unremarkable if you take away the colour. Stupidly slack seat tube angles too.

He's won state TT championships on them, so while they're probably not superbike fast they're clearly not holding him back.
-
• #7961
He’d be faster on £1k TT bike from Planet X.
-
• #7962
Don't think he'd sell as many frames if he started riding £1k TT bikes from Planet X.

• #7963
Also, that bike's from 2013. That's Tony Martin from the 2013 TDF tt. I'm not sure the aero benefits of ski bend thing was well known back then

All fair points but his bikes aren’t slave. End of story.
-
• #7965
The inline extensions and the length are supposedly because he has really long arms and found that he couldn’t get low enough.
If it had a sick candy fade and didn’t have the English logo on it, you might be swooning.
Though the TT saddle would have to go.

Enough Canyon tt's out there with a similar set up as well. Foregoing OTP stuff, why wouldn't you go for this (strong) aesthetic when you're doing custom geo?
He does deliver slave bikes regularly IMO.

English bikes are minging and the fact they keep winning awards is a reflection on the industry as a whole.
Proper boomer engineer school of design
-
• #7968
english bikes on the whole are the definiton of self conscious, boomer to quote the above, rather tasteless paints.
I agree with carabo though, about this TT one... if you can make such a design fit you, why not? much slaveness in trying to ride a bike that hurts, a bit like the hundreds of slammed caads that we have seen. -

Something so charmless about all these builds. Testament to Cannondale that a cheap mass produced Ali frame still has so much character.
-
• #7970
May not look great in pictures but those compact frames will perform better than your average straight toptube insta wagon.
-
• #7971
The pink stem reminds me of Cyril Sneer's nose.

Gonzo b leok.

• #7973
i see what you're doing here. bit like a Giant TCR ? ;)

• #7974
thought his transam bike was pretty dope.

What do we think of this? Anti or here? Palace gets a few HH points I reckon. Not sure I would ride it but I think it’s quite cool...

I always thought his mono stay bikes were pretty cool
