    I agree with somewhat of @Howard perspecitve, there were bids, we won at that price and why should they take 30k less from us when there were potentially other that were in between those values. I guess its a game of wether they're prepared to wait 2-N more months to find out what another buyers lender says and if they have the same problem.

    This is the best point out of the lot. Don't stretch yourself too thin on this.

    The survey on the place I'm (hopefully) buying is next week and I went in with a lower offer that was accepted as there was acceptance that the place needs work. If however, the mortgage company come back and undervale I wouldn't want to be in the position of raiding all my other funds to buy the house.
