Looking for solid SPD shoes for riding fixed

  • One of my Mavic SPD shoes cracked below the cleats. I guess they're not made to brake with fixed bikes? Sad times. Any suggestion of SPD shoes that will last more than 4 months?

  • Sidi dominators have long been forum favs.

  • Couldn't be happier with my Sidi Drangons. Indestructible, fit like a glove and you can replace the rubber pads when they're worn out. I'm running Time ATACs, not SPDs, but shouldn't make a difference.

  • Giro Rumble have a similar sole underneath and have been fine. Mine are about 4 years old and I’ve walked quite a lot in them too. Only issue is they tend to get a hole on the top by your big toe.
