Auto in NZ, but maybe that's ok for a wafty 4x4 tow barge
Also isn't auto generally recommended for off road?

Needs to actually make it to the Alps, not break down in Kent en-route.

Ooohh! Sidewinder?

Aren't T3/25 meant to be quite reliable?
Main thing would be lack of air con and cruse control.
Maybe the solution is to design and make a car. I can hear the copy from some future website review of it in my minds ear already.

A mate is having a 400ish brake Subaru engined double cab Doka built. Should be quite brilliant. Ideal MTB transporter.

I think the final build price will be quite spicy though.

Will he have to take the front wheel off tho?

Dealbreaker if so.

Currently procrastinating to avoid some tedious shit...
As length seems to be the main issue with dammit's MTB, you could save some length by mounting it at an angle right? Assuming it's compact geo with a dropper post, then back wheel in first high up gives the most space with the front wheel as close to the ground as possible...
-and here's my question-
can you have no obstructive rear cross sectional large bits of metal - like cross members, swaybars, etc.? (fwd obvs)
That way you could have a dropped rear floor to maximize diagonal length without increasing the horizontal length too much.

Wasn't that rejected as it would leave the bikes exposed to the elements?

On a more serious note, it just occurred to me that our car has a removable tow bar.
Do towbar racks exist that you can load up random shit on like chests of draws or fridges?

Must have missed that and forgot that Enduro bikes can’t handle the elements
I reckon you could get a V8 in the front of a Transporter, if you put your mind to it.
