This example is a 38mm from the late 80s and has been worn a lot, which makes for a nice patina (bezel enameling has faded) and even more nostalgic to my eyes.

Nothing wrong with Longines, just a bit out of vogue. Glad you got an opportunity to wear it, the hinged caseback is very unusual - presumably there’s another crystal over the movement too?
