  • Dennis or Ganna with Campanaerts in third.

  • I’m going for an all Ineos podium.

  • I dunno, she had more room still. Looked more like a bump unsettled the bike to me. Maybe she was on the brakes and the bump caused her to overbrake but TT bike brakes aren't ever good enough to buck the bike like that.

  • Actually watching it again on 0.25 speed it looks like it's bumps in the road that cause the rear wheel to jump up slightly then when it comes down it knocks out her front wheel and causes the tank slapper. The road surface seems to be wavey going round the corner that isn't clear on the video.

  • I've watched it a few times and I still see nothing in that indicates front flat or braking error. Happy to be proven wrong*.

*this is obviously a lie and I will hunt you down.

  • Pidcock, Porte, De Plus and Martinez confirmed for Ineos.

  • Have they got a surplus of XS skinsuits at Ineos?

As mentioned on Twitter the Martinez signing is odd

  • Dennis and his team have shown they are very good at peaking at the right time, so hard to look beyond him. Ganna, WVA on the podium as well.

Bookies have the Ineos pair as almost level

  • Interested in why Martinez signing is odd

Pidcock makes sense although would be a shame if he's simply relegated to super domestique. Similar story for Martinez but I guess £ speaks
Be interested to know when Porte's salary was locked down (pre or post podium)
De Plus has been pretty inactive this season so far according to PCS...i'm guessing this reflects lack of classics but interesting if there's other things going on

  • tom P never looks happy - always seems like he’s got a mard on. compare and contrast w his erstwhile teammate, cameron mason. smiliest rider going

  • Rumour is that EF have budget issues, and are looking to offload wages.

  • EF announced he had signed a contract extension to 2022; mutterings that does this mean EF are in trouble?

  • Long list of Ineos riders out of contract, many pretty established:

Kwiatkowski, Knees, Moscon, Stannard, Geoghegan Hart, Sivakov, Ganna,
    Narvaez, Wurf and Bass

  • Rumour is that EF have budget issues

    buy more bucket hats!!

  • Ineos seem to be expecting legal problems.

  • Knees will retire and Wurf will go back to slvlss.

Kwiatkowski can’t go to CCC any more, so will probably resign. I think they will keen to keep Sivakov, Ganna and Geoghegan-Hart.

    Not sure on the rest.

  • De Plus had an injury keeping him off the bike for a long time. Then first he was in the Giro selection but that is also not happening now. In every article I read about him not going to the Tour the rumours of him going to Ineos were being mentioned, so that might also have got something to do with his "slow recovery" and not being part of any of the Jumbo lineups for the GTs this year

  • Kwiatkowski

Would be a massive loss for Ineos. He is my favorite rider of the past 6 years. Completely self less in riding for the good of the team. Still remember when he came to a stop on Col D'Izoard stage have dragged the peleton for miles and miles.

  • First rider off from Aleppo, Syria. Now that is bravery. Hope he has a great ride.

  • The wind looks like it’ll be a major factor.

  • Especially when you are 6'6" like Walscheid currently on course...

  • The wind looks like it’ll be a major factor.

    and the rain.

edit - suns out now...it's certainly "changeable conditions"

Durbrudge running out of gears on that downwinder. Too late to strap on a bigger ring for later riders?

  • Mikkel Bjerg looks proper game face

  • Irelands national kit always looks dated
