  • he looks like francois pervis

  • Two more seasons and he’ll be bald enough for DIY cutouts.

  • Nothing wrong with that.

Trying to hide it, less so, particularly when it's so obvious.

  • Van Vleuten underwent surgery last Friday but is positive about racing on Saturday, with a wrist brace. I really don't know what to think of this but her levels of determination are stellar.

  • Have they binned off the U23, junior etc races at the worlds?

  • Yes, for this season at least.

  • but a few U23s (Pidcock) are racing the elite race

  • Excited to see what he can do, reckon in his form he could do well.

  • Makes sense. I always like to watch the U23s racing as a pointer towards what’ll happen in the elite race.

It’s harder with the women’s race because you can pick a winner from three riders.

  • It’s harder with the women’s race because you can pick a winner from three Dutch riders.

    Fixed that for you.

  • 25th Oct - Get it in your diary:

    Stage 21 - Giro d'Italia: Final-stage ITT
Stage 6 - Vuelta a Espana. punchy stage inc. Aubisque and Tourmalet hilltop finish
    Paris-Roubaix

  • That's just oversporting

  • I don't have enough TVs or iPads for that shit

  • Superman Lopez heading for AG2R according to Ciro Scognomiglio. He’ll need a new nickname if that’s true.

  • Supermec

  • i don't want to bang this drum but what am i missing with that nickname? is it meant to be about him being able to fly (up hills?) or is it just that he's...really good?

  • I only posted this to bait you.

I’m not sure how or why he has that nickname, I think I first heard it when he was making winning mountaintop finishes look easy in his debut Vuelta, so presumably it is to do with him flying uphill.

Personally I think we should call him M.Lo but can’t see that one sticking.

  • I actually thought it was because of this @fizzy.bleach

Five years ago López was ambushed on a training ride by a pair of would-be bike thieves. The brigands got more than they'd bargained for with the 5'6", 143-pound López, however. The cyclist fought the men off, sustaining two stab wounds before disarming his assailants—and retaining his bike, of course.

  • (posted the same as atz)

  • interesting backstory but i'm gonna go with michael angel wolfson

  • Miguel Angel Slow-pedz when he’s on his TT bike.

  • Apparently she is on her way to Imola this morning pending the final confirmation tomorrow. Pretty mad

  • Is the Giro or any of the Worlds going to be on ITV?

  • Worlds are on BBC, both online and on the red button option.

Not sure who is showing the Giro bar Eurosport/GCN race pass.

  • Ned Boulting and hopefully hayballs Pete Kennaugh with highlights on ITV.
