Two more seasons and he’ll be bald enough for DIY cutouts.

Nothing wrong with that.
Trying to hide it, less so, particularly when it's so obvious.

Van Vleuten underwent surgery last Friday but is positive about racing on Saturday, with a wrist brace. I really don't know what to think of this but her levels of determination are stellar.

Have they binned off the U23, junior etc races at the worlds?
-
• #26781
Yes, for this season at least.
-
• #26782
but a few U23s (Pidcock) are racing the elite race

Excited to see what he can do, reckon in his form he could do well.

Makes sense. I always like to watch the U23s racing as a pointer towards what’ll happen in the elite race.
It’s harder with the women’s race because you can pick a winner from three riders.

Superman Lopez heading for AG2R according to Ciro Scognomiglio. He’ll need a new nickname if that’s true.

i don't want to bang this drum but what am i missing with that nickname? is it meant to be about him being able to fly (up hills?) or is it just that he's...really good?
-
• #26792
I only posted this to bait you.
I’m not sure how or why he has that nickname, I think I first heard it when he was making winning mountaintop finishes look easy in his debut Vuelta, so presumably it is to do with him flying uphill.
Personally I think we should call him M.Lo but can’t see that one sticking.

I actually thought it was because of this @fizzy.bleach
Five years ago López was ambushed on a training ride by a pair of would-be bike thieves. The brigands got more than they'd bargained for with the 5'6", 143-pound López, however. The cyclist fought the men off, sustaining two stab wounds before disarming his assailants—and retaining his bike, of course.
