It's hard to parse through their many differing statements but I think official clearances of 650x 47 open up a lot more options than my current bike which can only do 650 X 42 or something apocryphal. The mud around here makes me sad but it disappears in summer so I like to imagine i could do the one bike two wheelsets thing with 700 X 38 semi slick in the summer and 650x something with knobs that clears mud in the winter. I did pretty well on smart Sam 700x35s last year though so maybe that would be enough again, but I would like to run them tubeless.
