The pricing of the 21 CDF range will be the end of them I reckon, absolutely ridiculous. No fucker is paying almost £2k for a Chinese steel frame and fork with cable discs that says genesis on it.
The £900 CDA 30 will eclipse the CDF completely, sure it’s alu but why would you bother with the CDF when it’s twice price and cable brakes.
If they were some edgy boutique American brand they might get away with it, but they’re Genesis. Basically the Ford or Vauxhall of bikes.

The 2015 croix de fer 30 had an RRP of 1749 and came with hydro brakes and a carbon leg fork. The 2021 croix de fer 30 has an RRP of 1899 and comes with cable discs and a steel fork.
Thru axle and flat mount have bumped the prices of steel frames such that they've all had to take spec drops to meet their price targets and the thing that they've lost is hydro brakes. Which is pretty funny.
