Absolutely nothing but one instagram-able moment for Ineos. Excellent. Fuck Ratcliffe and his SUV.

Well, that wasn't bad. I said during the Dauphine that Pogocar would get on the podium but I lost my nerve really, I should have put money on for a win. And wonderful to see Porte on the podium.
I still can't get my head round all the races that are coming up. -

Why did Roglic not have his helmet on his head? He looked like a squaddie with his dry socks under his helmet

Iām slightly gutted that I basically missed the stage as I ended up having to drive nearly 200 miles, but this has been my favourite tour by far since Wiggins won in 2012.
I remember watching that whole TT stage in a bar in Berlin with my best mate and two blokes who were life long fans Iād just met on a stag do we were all on.
That day and that race goes down as unbeatable, but since Wiggins Iād only really wanted to see Contador get another tour or keep winning generally, which obviously only went so far.
Pogacar has been the first rider to genuinely captivate me since Contador retired and to see him win like that is just completely unbelievable.
Iām not going to risk a jinx and leave it at that, but this has been such a brilliant edition and Iām so happy and excited to see such a young rider I love so much have so much potential ahead of them.

So should Jumbo have ridden in support of Dumoulin instead?
-
• #1819
Dumoulin was still considered to be returning from injury I think.
I suppose his TT today (after riding hard rides in support of Roglic) suggests he had recovered well - but until today it was a superb ride from Roglic and he still beat 144 other riders.

Can you name any rider who has left Decuenick-QS and been more successful?
The only one I can think of is Max Schachmann.
I was thinking about this again today when I saw the Top 10 on GC.
Enric Mas could qualify given that he's come 5th without any real team support, and in a team riding more for the team prize than any GC hopes. He came 2nd in the Vuelta with DQS, but is that as impressive?

So- this is the first time ever that someone has potentially won the 3 jerseys?
-
• #1822
I donāt think Dumoulin would have clawed all those bonus seconds and won the stage. Mostly likely would have been in podium contention though.

• #1823
Merckx would have but the white jersey didnāt exist till 1975
