I had the same thought originally, then I went and tried one anyway. I found the size to be actually okay as you can see!

If I send a really old omega (1949) into their service centre what will they do to it? The dial is a bit battered but works - they won’t throw it away or anything right ?

I'd be all over one if they weren't the same price as my bathroom refurb.

I will +1 this because it's worth pointing out. The 44GS-style GMT (SBGJ203), which is supposedly 1mm smaller, I found clunky and unwearable. I tried the silver dial version of this model and was really surprised at how wearable and "normal" it looks. I would def like it to be thinner but it's just about within my personal acceptable range.

I mean, I’m saying this as I’m wearing my 42mm GS snowflake so I should clearly shut the fuck up.

I've been really surprised yesterday by the fact that JLC's Reverso is manual winded only... with a 30 hours power reserve that's unsuitable for me. Very few automatic versions of the Reverso are avalaible (not in men sizes) at the dealership... And 3 atm water resistance... for 6400 € (not including the back plate customisation).

Anyone know what watch this is? I'm looking for decent field watch, smallish size, and not flashy etc and spotted this.

My SKX has a decent scratch on the crystal, can't be buffed out, so am thinking of getting a double domed crystal as a replacement.
Then I realised I probably need specialist tools to fit the thing. And I have no clue how to do it.
Are there cheap tools out there for the home user? Or should I just find a local jeweller that can do it?
Nice! I’d be all over one of those if they were 38-40mm
