  • Kämna can TT.

  • Come on Lenny.

  • the peloton is looking quite small

  • Way farther out than his Dauphine win but he took that extremely convincingly.

  • Kämna looks convinced.

  • Barring mechanicals, Kamna has this.

  • kamna should get a time penalty for the glasses

  • Kirby saying "Tour of France" really boils my piss for no good reason.

    Maybe its just him.

Just watch ITV4. I won't go back to Eurosport until Kirby retires. I miss Sean Kelly's analysis, but Ned Boulting and David Millar are nearly as good and infinitely more comprehensible and less annoying than Sean and Carlton respectively.

  • Das war der Hammer ! Hut !

  • And that from a rider who took a break from Sunweb as this team being a bit strict with the training.

  • Well deserved win, he rode that really well for such a young rider.

  • Why are none of you discussion how good Movistar are looking today in the team classification competition :/

  • go pog, go

  • very boring episode of the rog and pog show.

  • Alan Phillip

    a million percent approved

  • Jerome Cousin out.

Could Soupe not look after his bearded brother?

The interview with Bernal on the ITV4 highlights was very sad. He's in a lot of pain and not very happy.

I'm glad the favourites' group know how boring* they are and let the breakaway get away. Let's hope they do the same tomorrow.

*boring in the sense of hugely impressive, dominant.

  • Could Soupe not look after his bearded brother?

i wondered this as well. team total dee-wreckt-NRG are only one place above lotto soudal at the foot of the team rankings. imagine a soupe double stage win midweek will put them right back where they belong

  • What, French provincial chippers?

  • The interview with Bernal on the ITV4 highlights was very sad. He's in a lot of pain and not very happy.

Not at all the impression I got from a short post race interview with Dutch media, nor from his behaviour on camera during the stage. Stef Clement (ex pro now race analyst) wanted to speak to Servais Knaven (Ineos DS) about Bernal's condition but was denied contact. I would have thought they could have just confirmed any physical problems. I guess we will know for sure this afternoon.

  • Here's the interview from itv:

I guess a climber and former Tour winner doesn't end up in the grupetto just because they "haven't got the legs" - it's got to be more than that. They also showed a lot of footage of him stretching out his back while riding.

  • Thanks. Indeed, it was strange to see him riding in the sprinters' bus. Won't expect to see him out front on the Col de la Loze then...

  • I don't really understand why he's still in the race. Are they expecting it to get better during the remaining stages so he can go stage-hunting? I mean, it surely can't be a bluff designed to make them let him go were he to attack.

  • I’d imagine it was a day off. Recuperate mentally as much as anything.
I think it’s good to keep him in the race if he is fit enough. Making him front up a bit to loosing without anymore internal pressure.
