i have a kind of similar crackpot theory about coke (a cola)
despite its image as the ultimate extension of american consumer culture and soft power, it's actually the most egalitarian drink on the planet. (more or less) everyone can afford it, and there's only one type. if a homeless person wants a coke, they buy a can of coke. if the queen wants a coke, she can't buy a better can of coke than the homeless person can get.
