Just looking closer at those articles about this trailer, I'd love to know if Isla still has one of these knocking about ...

Very well thought out tag along (unsurprisingly).
Unlike pretty much all the others this keeps the passenger upright not dealing with the multi linkage flop.Someone should grab this and their kid will love it!

Yep, it's a very similar solution as the custom Dave Yates one I had. I think the advantage here is that the link axle is directly over the rear wheel axle of the towing bike, whereas Dave's version had this interface behind the wheel. I think this will make it slightly easier for the captain to handle.

Sold to you pending collection! Great stuff.
So nice to hear you're a beneficiary of one way back when, that's a beautiful circularity.
The forum is a beautiful thing.
Well designed ‘Trailerbikes’ tagalong bike, early 90s vintage, the company making them was an early project by Isla Rowntree who founded the now legendary Islabikes company. Some scans of archived manual & publicity here:
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/bicyclist.cc/trailerbikes-instructions-and-info/%3famp
20” wheel with sturmey 3speed, gears & shifter functioning ok, chain needs replacing, pedals are one-sided so presumably once had toeclips.
Attaches with a clever headset & sleeve arrangement with a bolted axle, to a decent well powder-coated & strong steel pannier rack. Rack has extendable stays to mount to many shapes of bike, included are some Pclips if your frame doesn’t have bosses up on the seatstays. Will need to attach to mudguard boss at the rear ends I think, at least that’s how it was last used. There are some stainless M5 bolts supplied for that.
£50 collected SE4, would rather not post but can be persuaded to find a box if you want this badly and can’t collect in person.
If you’re keen dib here followed by PM. Thanks.
