Dawes classic Kingpin folding bike

  • Selling this as I originally bought it as a gift for a relative which is now unwanted (they got a newer bike instead)

Great condition for its age, paint is fairly scratched in places but no major damage. New tyres fitted, gears could do with a service as I’m not an expert on hubs. Allen key needed if you ever want to fold it

    £100 ono Collection SE13

    Cheers
    Alex

  • Hi Alex, I'd like to have a look at this. Can I pop round this week? Thanks! Anna

  • Hi - interested for a mate, could you let me know range of effective rider-sizing? I have no familiarity whatsoever with folders! Cheers

  • Hi Anna - I can do weds or thurs eve?

  • It’s really hard to say - however I’m 5’6 and this fitted me pretty well when I rode it briefly a couple of times. I’d say it would be ok for someone between 5’2 and 5’8

  • Would love to come take a look. Just finished refurbing a Raleigh Solitude and have always wanted a Kingpin.

I am located nearby if Anna doesn’t want it.

    -Mark

  • If it helps, I’ve commuted for years on a Raleigh Twenty, which is practically the same size and I added a big, sprung Brooks B67 (on a 400mm kalloy post) to give another inch or so to the seat and I’m 5’10”/5’11”. It’s probably more height-flexible for different folks, being a sit-up style bike.

  • Cheers!

  • Thank you! My friend is def keen but looks like I'm behind a few others now so please do let me know if still available and I'll get her down to have a go.... cheers!

  • 6’2 here and found a Puch picnic (very similar shape/style) easily rideable with a longer seatpost that I picked up for about a tenner on eBay.

  • SOLD
