The niche is a great grinder (google James Hoffman on YouTube for a review). It was the improve workflow making coffee at home bit that got me :)

It’s the amount of grounds that need to be purged when changing from espresso to filter or using a different bean.
Also the given the retention isn’t consistent having to weigh beans in, grounds out and either deciding to accept the exchange or try to get as much of the retained grounds out each time the grinder is used.

Vs a grinder with such low retention (and consequently exchange too) that these things don’t have to be done. Also lower waste.
