I really hope that women's cycling will go like it went in women's tennis--people trying to obstruct it for a long time, trying to make all sorts of sexist claims ('not exciting', 'the weak sex', etc.), and it then proving extremely popular with the public, with equal prize money, at least in Grand Slam tournaments. Still, the fight is never won:
