comparing steel to carbon or aluminium frames just pricewise is not fair!?
I ordered a Pfadfinder, i got too many issues

  • in the same way that it's not fair to judge carbon only based on solidity, and alloy on vibrations transmission ? The point is that the pfadfinder is both expensive and pretty heavy.
interested to hear about issues btw

  • But you can dress it in Dura ace and carbon to make it weight like an Allez. Likes tough

  • Could you please show me a steel frame available that does the same and is cheaper and as light or lighter!? Or even just lighter.

Steel is expensive nowadays. It's a pity.
If people are happy with alu and carbon thats fine. But on a more serious note. In my opinion steel suits more people than represented by the market. So steel frames are relatively more expensive because mass production is magic.

The Pfadfinder is expensive. It's not light. But it's lovely with a really sensible weight for a steel frame and a price thats agreeable for a niche product if it suits your needs/wants. You get the bb, Chris King headset, columbus fork, a nice paintjob and now the price starts to get reasonable.

You could almost go costum, but if the Pfadfinder fits your purpose it's still fairplay.
