  • Horrible Higuita-Jungels crash.

The amount of effort going into trying to form a breakaway - do these guys know they've got three ascents of Colombier to come?

  • Could be a stage win for them if the break is really allowed to get away.

  • get tired just looking at pierre rolland

  • Froome had a powerful engine of 420w FTP in 2007, but at 76kg. At tour winning weight, he was 67kg or so with the same watts, maybe a touch more?

I think in w/kg terms, the newer, younger riders are potentially stronger now. Evenepoel, Pogacar, Roglic (though not as young)

Some previous superb GT riders like Contador had an FTP of 420w or so at 62kg, he was just not very aero...

  • he was just not very aero...

he won his fair share of TTs though

  • I have a good table at LMNH is anybody wants to come watch.

  • What happened in the last week? No TV in the hotel in Granada so I've only been catching flashes of this year's race.

Lots of crashing I hear. Any major upsets or points of interest, defining moments? When did the skier get into lellow?

  • I love this part of the world, one of my favourite areas to ride a bike.

  • No TV in the hotel

    Buffet any good though?

  • He's been in yellow since Sunday. The French are loosing, bad. Jumbo have bossed, Ineos have been quiet and Yates was 'accidentally' in yellow for a good bit. Green Jersey race is pretty spicey between Sagan and Bennet. Oh and Movistar are even worse than usual. Sunweb are the surprise of the tour so far not only getting in breaks but winning them too, making it a really entertaining race.

  • how hungover is wiggins?!

  • Cosnefroy's defence of his KOM jersey is not the best I've seen.

He did try (and fail) to get in the breakaway, but he's significantly off the back of the peloton already and seems to only still have it because the points are being so well spread out.

  • No buffet either but the surrounding area had some good options.

  • free tapas with each drink in granada is ridic. found we didn't need to buy dinner all holiday. wish we'd taken our bikes - riding looks amazing

  • Cheers. Nice wrap up. I guess Jumbo went in looking pretty good so this is kind of expected. I heard something yesterday about Sagan trying to nab points but couldn't work out what exactly they were doing given I've not seen GC or Points lists. Has Bennett won a stage?

  • Yeah we did a bit of that but because of the weird timings we'd often just find a place for lunch and then dinner before any of the locals were even thinking about food.

  • Bennett won Stage 10 just ahead of Ewan.

  • Bennett won a stage then cried a lot.

DQS won't let Sagan get in a break and Morkov (phone can't do lines) keeps beating him to the line at intermediates with Bennett in front.

Sagan also lost 13 points he'd won for headbutting Wout Van Aert.

  • Whats the beef with cycling news and ineos they realy dislike the team for some reason.

  • Ah, that's cool. I saw him miss one early on. Good to hear he got there.

  • Yep I'm really glad he got a stage, his interview with Seb Piquet afterwards was emotional. It'll be interesting to see who wins on the Champs Elysees, Caleb looks the quickest sprinter but Bennett has the benefit of Michael Mørkøv dropping him off in the perfect position.

  • Janja Garnbret

    Such a strong climber!

  • Sagan also lost 13 points he'd won for headbutting Wout Van Aert.

It's just scandalous that they give people points for things like that. :)

  • Hope this isn’t an anti climax, hoping for fireworks
