they are pretty clever and all that, but lets not pretend they are fit for purpose

For years now I have pretty much given up on Windows laptops. It seems like for every upgrade in memory any machine has an even greater capacity to store shite and throttling updates. The result being that you end up with a PC that is even slower than the last one.
