  • Pogaca?
    I look at this and see the Turkish word,
    (Mrs mespilus is Turkish),
    except the 'g' has a 'hat' on it and is unpronounced, lengthening the preceding vowel,
    and the 'c' has a 'tail' to give the 'ch'.
    Not implying Tadej or his family are in anyway Turkish,
    but the Ottomans did rule 'some of the' Balkans and 'influenced neighbouring states'.

  • Actually and factually incorrect. Slovenia was not under Ottoman rule. And yes, we do have pogaca in our vocabulary too and it is a type of bread
