Exhausted now, so much work done on the GN since this morning.
Cleaned all the shit out from the drivetrain, replaced front and rear sprockets, chain, cush drive rubber, snapped drum brake brace bolt, tensioner bolts, rev counter cable, scrubbed with sandpaper and solvent the drum brake surfaces, and put washers in the suicide stand so it isn’t quite so awful. I really have to ride the bike now and see if anything falls off.
The sprocket/chain kit that M&P sent is 3 teeth smaller at the back. Didn’t know when ordering. Hopefully the bike sits at slightly higher speeds in all gears with only a small loss in acceleration.
Cush drive was awful, so much movement, had the replacement since March and really should have put it in already now I see the difference.
