Properly nice.. I have two watch (non) purchase regrets (both in pawnshop windows), A gold JLC similar period to your GP about ten years ago, and an Omega Montreal about twenty years ago. Both interesting like your GP.
Interested to hear @Regal views on the typeface(s) on the GP

No typefaces, all hand-lettered, all very nice.
Prefer it to the modern GP watches with their art nouveau-ish logotype, they feel a bit '70s to me. It's not Korinna or Benguiat (the Stranger Things font, used because it was the Stephen King book cover font for many years) but it's in that vein. It's actually quite nicely drawn when you see the full logotype, it's more the way the "GP" looks like it's trying to form a heart shape. Not my taste, is all.

Thanks. It's a beautifully finished watch, without doubt my nicest.
I finally put a macro extension on my camera and tried a few shots this morning.
The dial has patina is covered in little speckles which I believe to be age and possibly degraded tritium lume. Won't forget the day I set off a radiation detection alarm at a highly sensitive national nuclear site when wearing it...
GP alarm today.
Having not seen one for years, there are two on ***y now, both in rolled gold like this and stainless. Neither as nice as mine IMO, and prices aspirational? Or maybe appreciation for brand gone up in recent years.
