  • I haven’t done sternum yet due to my chest hair but reaching the point where I might go smooth and do it.
Despite both sessions being pretty easy going(swallow was only an hour and that spot is completely chill) I’m utterly knackered today!

  • I can believe it. Mine was deliberately sized and placed to avoid the worst of the sternum but it still tops the list for most painful so far. Must have been 2 hours almost exactly from trace to finish.

Felt totally wiped out when I got home. Suppose cycling in the sun and carrying a bmx home on a wobbly trailer on the roadbike didn’t help matters. Wasn’t sure if it was the sun or the tattoo.

  • Any chance you could just leave crap like that in the fail/meme threads @sallad? I freaking love this thread and am always excited to see what work people are having done and are stoked when I see it updated. Your posts on here are always a let down :/
    Kthanksbye xxx

Edit: new page fail. Ref shit meme that wasn’t funny when everyone saw it months/years ago.

Any recommendations for someone London based for a very simple anchor tattoo to go on my ankle?

  • Most black work people will do a good anchor. If you find someone who’s work you like in general is bound to smash it. I got a great little anchor as a holiday walk in from @shan_zooztattoos and enjoyed working with her so much she ended up doing my back piece.

  • Hey, sorry I ruined your day mate!

  • I like that swallow a lot, and I like it even more now I know about the back story.

  • Any recommendations for tattooists in Bristol?

  • Got this Tebori Daruma from Horihiro Mitomo in Tokyo a week and a half ago.

    Almost healed.

  • Not Bristol, but Markus Kuhn in Bath is ace (depending on what style you're after).

  • Got these silly ones and barbed wire on my inherited family dodgy knees a couple weeks back. Done by my sister

  • Also a small Columbus logo dove although I’m now very aware it’s basically a dove soap logo 😂
Excuse the scratches. I ran out of skill and ended up over my handlebars in a thorn bush whilst mountain biking.

  • I got this by horihiro mitomo in Osaka, the red was such a fucker to heal.. saw him mixing it up from a powder. Did you have trouble healing it?

  • He has all the ink ready when I arrived.

Certainly the red is taking longer to heal than the outline , its the first time I've had a handpoke tattoo so i wondered if it was down to that, but it seems more likely the ink he uses as you say.

  • Red can often be a bitch to heal. I had real problems with Starbrite ink.

  • My skin hates colour. Red heals a bit patchy but white rejects.

@CanonAxe ladyfriend’s got a piece done in Indiana Ink. She is also stating that Purple Rose was well-recommended. No connection personally, but may be worth researching those two.

  • I had real problems with Starbrite ink.

Same. It took the Starbite red on my upper arm (Dan Gold, Into You) a good eight years to stop getting inflamed in the sun. Seems OK now tho.

  • I'd suggest Skin deep. You'd have all bases covered there

  • @misspeggybrown recently moved to Bristol. She’s fucking fantastic and I love my piece from her.
