kidding, a decent rubber cement should work -
Basically yes, it doesn't flow enough to run down the wall in most cases.
It's usually expensive and a bitch to work with on floors, walls are a bit easier.
Worth using a comb spreader that has the appropriate size teeth for the adhesive, manufacturer should be providing those details.

I’m going to put some cork tiles on a wall. Should I buy ‘cork adhesive’ when I buy them or is there some other adhesive that will be fine?
