I don't know about shipping methods but I know you will be liable for tax. From memory, the allowance for gifts is higher than normal purchases (£15) but it's around £35 I I think. So import duty (around 2.5% usually) and VAT (20%) due on the declared value+shipping cost. Parcels from the US have a high interception rate.

I used https://www.polonezparcelservice.com/ twice to ship bikes and they were much cheaper than the big transporters. Cargo shipping from MA to Poland I believe then fret in Europe. It takes 4-6wks for a parcel to arrive tho.
Hi all,
My brother needs so send me the frameset from the US, which I couldn’t collect due to the covid for the last 3 months.
Do you know what’s the best company to do that and will I need to pay any tax if he declares it as a gift (which it is)?
Did anyone have any experience with ordering from the US and delivering to the UK?
Thanks
