Two big plastic boxes. And a bucket. And some wire racking on some shelves. And the floor of the shed. And a little pile by the back door. And some bits in the loft. Some stuff on/under/next to my bedside table. Some on a shelf above the stairs. Also in a locker at work. And under my desk at work. And there's some stuff which I've forgotten where it is altogether.
If there's a better solution than the above then I haven't heard of it.

I think this is the best place to ask the following. Not bike specific but more general storage.
How are people with large amounts of parts storing them? I remember going to the vintage bike cave in highgate once and they used something like mushroom trays on metal shelving units.
Other than that I haven't really been to many places that store large number of parts where they need regular access.
