Was thinking about this for the new decals, on a dark metallic grey. The orange in my mind is a bit fluo. This is keeping the original font selected by the graphic designer who did the logo.
Any thoughts?

I like this - defo an improvement and does still hold something classic while being a bit more updated. Still has the soviet vibe from the original imho

Crossbar on the R looks a little weak to me but I like the overall thing.

Font isn't made up I don't think, but I have it all CADed up... What do you suggest I do? Beef it up to the same thickness as the rest?

Forgive the foible and live with it! That’s just the detail that stood out to me, lovely as a whole.

I need to redraw it anyway, I'll try both options, easy enough!

It looks like the crossbar on the A and H are slightly thinner than the width as well.. Might be worth it to mimick that thickness?

I've given up on adjusting the width of the crossbar, more complicated than I thought, the current setting out seems worked out like it is for a reason.
I've redrawn properly and sent a query to @BiCals I've never been that close to finally proceeding with the respray, finally... Will be in touch with Mario soon if all goes well.

damn, that sure is a pretty seat post!

Things are finally happening! I contacted H Lloyd Cycles for the decals in the end (previous contact went dead) and they managed to sort out the crap file I sent them (Steve was very helpful). Decals arrived today and look exactly as I wanted. To keep the momentum I left the frame with Mario and all should be ready in a few weeks! Very excited, and I should go back to the polishing wheel with the crankset!

As I left the frame with Mario last week, I remembered (last minute) to salvage the best sticker I ever had on a bike, managed to reshape it and put it on my Dawes Galaxy, a bike Mr Sheldon would certainly have approved...
