For Sale:
£450
Collect SE4. Happy to deliver around London & further afield.
Mercian Olympic 76, made for the shop according to Mercian when it went in for paint a while back.
575mmTT x 565mmST c-c.
BB height: 290mm
Fork rake: 40mm
Repainted in French blue with beige barber’s pole & headtube. Frame in excellent condition, no dings, no problem threads, nothing. Paint a little tired but still very presentable. Seatstays have had large flaking touched in fairly poorly but with the exact colour. Have pot of touch up for perfectionists to redo/improve.
Equipped with Campagnolo NR in pretty good nick. Not all the parts are identical versions of NR I don’t think, brakes may be Gran Sport. Drilled levers a little scuffed, nothing horrible. All works nicely. Seat pin, cranks, mechs, levers all nice. Proper Canpag BB. Niggles: Pedals have dustcaps but they’re a bit scuffed. Headset has slight brinelling, but still rides no-handed ok. Have a spare Record HS in excellent nick available seperately.
Wheels are lovely TB14 polished 32/36 Vintage Phil Wood ‘three piece’ hubs (steel barrel, alloy canted flanged), rear is Hi-Lo super rare one, brushed barrel. Front is mirror polished, possibly slightly later. Believe rear was made in ‘74. The first sealed bearing hubs?
Original Brooks Colt in Honey, an absolutely excellent saddle.
3ttt stem 70mm
3ttt Super Leggero 44cm bars, original 70s bling
Steel derailleur cables
Dirty tape
Nice barend plugs with expanders.
70s campag style cabling, have full spare set to redo, I cut them a little short.
Panaracer tyres, good.
Daniel Salmon alloy mudguards.
Will split down into various compinents / bundles and list prices if no interest complete.
