Thanks for your concern. In fact I've just recently found out about the recall and I am getting the hardware. But the rack has been on for 5 years and there is no sign of movement.

Just FYI, I used mine for several years inc. fully loaded touring, then one day it came loose with nothing on it at all and I was left with having to endure facial reconstruction surgery and a big hole in my bank account for the dental works.
Don't take the risk, even its just a strap round it and the HT.

For anyone wanting a (sold out) Velo Vitality Metro Porteur rack, after much research I dug them out on Ridewill.it masquerading as this: https://www.ridewill.it/p/en/brn-bernardi-por67n-front-carrier-messenger-steel-black/136087/
I've just ordered one, so can't comment on quality yet, but looks to be the same product to me.

Any word on the quality of these? Wanting one for my steamroller...

Anything similar (cheaper) to the Velo orange flat pack rack?
Want something with a decent size platform, attaching to mid-fork eyelets.

dont get the V2 or V1, they're made of Alu and the eyelets snap off....I discovered to my cost.

Thanks! That looks great.
Man, the exchange rate fucking sucks.

Anyone have any tips for fitting a Pelago rack on a track bike with steeper forks? Can’t get the mount flat because of the dropouts and fork blades, even at an angle. Would put a spacer under but wheel axle isn’t long enough for that.

Put some spacers in between? Maybe doesn't leave a lot of thread for the nut though.
-
• #995
Yeah not enough space to get the nut on unfortunately

I have the same rack on my Bianchi super pista and I think I solved it by tilting everything forward, if it makes any sense?

Looking for a way to safely carry DSLR camera on tours, planning to carry some stuff in anything cages on forks and then something in the front where the camera would fit with some other stuff, either a porteur rack with rando bag, Pelago Rasket or Wald 137 on Surly 8-Pack, or a handlebar-mounted bar bag. Which option would you recommend?
-

P-clips directly onto the fork blades, then one of the angled Pelago mounts attached to that.

How did this go? I'm interested if it comes with fittings for 26" wheels like the velo vitality one
Nitto but it's practically the same (though the part that holds the panniers is removable, which is pretty cool).
What don't you like about the Velo Orange one?
