  • If you’re after a fuss free strap, have you thought about rubber (if that’s not too personal a question)?

My BB is on a Vanguard strap and I really like it, it’s comfy and pretty smart. For me, the filled in lug space changes the feel of the watch a bit - imo it makes it seem a little sportier and casual, which I kinda like - but that‘s just my weird taste.

Watch Obsesion have got some Rios water resistant leather straps and am sure Hirsch have a few options too. Watch gecko do a load of water proof sailcloth type straps which are also pretty smart, including a padded version if you want some chunk.

  • I'm not that keen on rubber straps generally plus I'm probably aiming for more of a smart end of the scale.

Sailcloth ones look like a possible. Conveniently Watchgecko seems to have used a Black Bay Black for most of the shots on there.

  • I hear ya. My lazyness coupled with high exposure to baths, baby vom and washing up have meant all my watches have ended up on rubber straps.

On the sailcloth straps, I got this one - https://www.watchgecko.com/sailcloth-watch-strap. It’s fine for the money (and the QR bars make life super easy) but it’s thin, so would recommend you go for the padded version if you want some mass.
