Yes, I regularly spin out at 45mph on flat roads...
Ha, I'm kinda taking a step back here. For years I rode 53-39 not because I think I'm solid or anything but its just happened be what I got and stuck with it. Was only a couple years ago I moved to compact and 32t cassette - was a revelation!
52-36 was the only option on Red I could find cheap enoughon ebay. 110bcd so will surely be going back to compact eventually.
If anyone happens to want to swap these rings for a 50-34 set pm me!

Also had a double take, the packaging for the crank made the small ring look knackered.
