Quite true, I should have mentioned the pun. In German, "satt" means both 'sated', as in a person being no longer hungry, and 'saturated', as in colours in English.
Well, I was just translating into English, where 'a sated green' isn't the set phrase. I suppose people could understand it, but it would sound odd. In German, both are possible, with very slightly different meanings.
