Couldn't get the on with my last frame, so stripped the parts and spent the last few afternoons building this up for autumn/winter. Tyres need changing so will probably get tan walls. Anyone have any experience with these: https://www.wiggle.co.uk/challenge-strada-open-tubular-road-tyre? Could do with another Campag record or chorus 10s rear mech as one of the adjuster screws on this one sticks and I can't get it to run quietly all the time, if anyone has one they don't need?

Rondinella - Nice!
Not tried Challenge tyres but have found Panaracer Pasela in 25c to be rather good.

YESSSS!!!!!
PLEASE can I have the saddle if you don't end up using it. although it's ugly I rode just my terraliner for 3 years or so and my bum likes em now. -

Yes, it's a really lovely frame, so well built and 753 as well, so really light. I'm going to ride it as is for the winter and if I get on with it might treat it to a newer chorus/record groupset-probably 11s. (I would go for the new 2020 12 speed but the crank is so damn fugly.)

In the likely case that I change it, yes for sure.

Challenge tyres are soft, fast, grippy, wear relatively quickly and don't have great puncture resistance. I really like them, but we have no flint in our roads.

How do you do it, you always seem to find matching saddles and pedals with the frame. Bravo!

Looks nice, what's the build plan?

Flatbar tourer/cruiser with front rack!
Sadly the one of the forks brazed on is offset and I can't use the King Gamoh basket I want to... :(

I have a lot of storage and I leave time for the projects to finalize , thank you from the bottom of my heart!

What do you do with them? Are you building a massive collection or do you build them for other people / to sell / other?

👌. Is there such a thing as silver bar tape?

Is there such a thing as silver bar tape?
Yes, I've seen modern silver (Pro, IIRC) and vintage Benotto type.

It hasn’t cracked again yet. New stem, spacer beneath removed, bars un-double-taped and re-angled
I don’t have another oval railed saddle nor the clamp for round rails but this one is doing ok for now

Sweet. Next step: paint the frame in a wacky colour.

Just about ready for an epping ride.

It’s a way more expensive frame than I’d ever normally be able to afford. I’m hesitant to ruin the otherwise perfect paint.
I did see decal kits in whacky colours that go over all the original red parts including the big down tube one

I will cut the drops a little bit tomorow
This is just a project for now :)I build bikes, let's say it's a real estate investment

Exploro update:
Cranks suddenly went wobbly whilst riding on the turbo. Got off and tightened them up with an Allen key (so definitely not over the recommended torque) and they became super stiff with a rubbing sound when turning by hand.
That’s my training finished prematurely then.
I’m guessing I need some other combination of spacers or something.
Any ideas on how to correctly fit Sram force bb30 cranks on a bb386 frame?
Will be a slow burner and complete rebuild. Starting point maybe? Modern 1x10 and big tyres .
