Wanted XL / XXL / 60+cm commuter

Hi all,

Looking to replace my Charge Plug commuter that was unfortunately stolen earlier this year. Singlespeed would be great but would also consider a racer. Need something to get to work on 3x a week and don't want to put the winter miles on the pride and joy. That said, I'll certainly be taking care of it and locking up indoors at home and the office

Needs to be an XL, XXL or similar, I'm 6'6.

Budget is £300 or thereabouts and I'm located in Brixton.

After exactly the same thing, also XL/XXL. Perhaps slightly shitter (pub bike) and would prefer SS

Do you need the whole thing or would you be interested in frame and fork and a few other bits?

Ideally the whole thing... but, what have you got? I've got some wheels that i could use perhaps

I'm 6'2 but there is definitely scope to adjust it up to 6'6 i'm sure.

I bought a new frame to replace it with as it doesn't quite have the tyre clearance that i would like (fits up to 28 with no problem.) but rides really well.

Built during lockdown with mixture of parts, most of which are new or nearly new.

Ideally i wanted to keep the bars and brake levers, saddle, wheelset and the cranks for my new build.

Leaving you with the quill stem, seatpost, bottom bracket. Have a SS spacer conversion kit and a couple of rear cogs 16T and 18T for a shimano freehub that you could have if wanted.

Sorry - bit of a mess and probably more hassle than you intending on dealing with but just saw your ad and thought i'd flag it up.

Happy to talk it through further and negotiate on parts if you think you could make it work though!

Totally understandable.

If you change your mind - it'll be knocking about for a bit longer before i get round to getting it up for sale on the forum!

I got this spare parts build gathering dust. Nothing too fancy. Can fit mudguards for your winter commutes. Pm me if interested.

Hey Folks

Got this chrome 63cmx59cm Dawes frame, can build it up to be either SS or road.
Its got a couple of kinks with some flaking on the top tube but nothing major!
